The Calculated Chemist makes branded drinkware for laboratory teams — a customizable gift built like an instrument, not a giveaway. The Flask Vessel is a 440 mL / 15 oz double-wall vacuum-insulated 304 stainless steel bottle drawn from the Erlenmeyer form, laser-engraved with your mark. Academic, research, clinical, and industrial labs source it for team recognition, grant and publication milestones, core-facility client gifts, onboarding, and lab-week events. The form belongs on a bench, and it is built to live there — insulated, leak-resistant, and kept rather than discarded. Minimum order is 25 units; a $25 spec sample is credited toward your first order. Pricing scales from small runs to large programs.

Chlorophyll Green Flask Vessel, an insulated stainless steel laboratory team gift drawn from the Erlenmeyer form

Why it belongs on the bench

Lab teams work with instruments held to tolerances, and they notice when an object was made carelessly. A branded vessel earns its place by being genuinely useful at the bench — weight, finish, insulation, and a clean laser engraving — rather than by printing a logo on something disposable. Drawn from the Erlenmeyer form, it reads as native to the lab, not as novelty.

Where it works

  • Lab and research team recognition
  • Grant award and publication milestones
  • Core-facility and shared-instrument client gifts
  • Onboarding kits for new researchers and students
  • Lab-week and safety-milestone recognition
  • Conference, poster-session, and symposium giveaways

What you are customizing

A 440 mL / 15 oz double-wall vacuum-insulated 304 stainless steel vessel with permanent laser-engraved calibration markings, a leak-resistant lid, and a carry strap, in five matte powder-coat finishes: Ionic White, Carbon Black, Chlorophyll Green, Quantum Blue, and Cryo Cyan. Engrave a lab, department, or PI logo on the body, and a molecular structure or formula on the lid or alongside a wordmark.

Logo placement and customization

Your mark is laser-engraved into the powder coat — permanent, not printed. We send a digital proof before production and keep approved artwork on file so reorders match for the same lab or facility. Build a mockup to see your artwork on the vessel.

Minimum order, samples, and how pricing works

  • Minimum run: 25 units
  • Spec samples: $25, credited toward your first order
  • Quotes: returned within 1 business day
  • Digital mockups: within 24–48 hours
  • Logo setup: $65, waived on repeat artwork
  • Pricing: scales with quantity, from sample runs to large programs; one laser-engraved logo included, freight quoted separately. Request a quote with your headcount for exact pricing.

Institutional and government purchasing

We accept government purchase cards (GPC / SmartPay), university and hospital purchasing cards, and institutional purchase orders. Net 30 is available on approved institutional accounts, and a W-9 is provided on request.

Federal and national lab buyers: purchases under the $15,000 micro-purchase threshold can be placed directly on a Government Purchase Card — no vendor registration, no competitive bid, and no procurement queue. Our 25-unit minimum sits well under that ceiling, so a departmental order can be placed on a card the same day it is approved.

Send a unit count to wholesale@thecalculatedchemist.com and we will return a written quote within one business day, with the W-9 attached.

Lead times for lab events and onboarding

Domestic stock is fast-turn: roughly seven business days processing, plus freight. Planned factory production runs about 40–45 business days. Expedited air is project-specific. Tell us your in-hands date — a lab-week date, a grant celebration, a new cohort — and we confirm in writing what is achievable before you commit.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for laboratory team gifts?
25 units. Below that, order a single $25 spec sample to evaluate quality first — the cost is credited toward your first order.

Can you engrave a molecular structure or formula?
Yes. Alongside or in place of a wordmark, we can engrave a structure or formula — a fit for a specific lab, project, or publication. We send a proof before production.

Can you meet a lab-week or grant-celebration deadline?
Often, yes — but it depends on quantity and route, so we confirm it rather than assume it. Domestic stock processes in roughly seven business days plus freight; planned factory production runs about 40–45 business days. Send your in-hands date with the quantity and we will confirm in writing what is achievable before you commit to anything.

How does bulk pricing work for larger programs?
Pricing scales with quantity, from sample runs to large multi-thousand-unit programs. Engraving with one logo is included; freight is quoted separately; logo setup is waived on repeat artwork.

Do you accept government purchase cards and purchase orders?
Yes. We accept government purchase cards, university and hospital purchasing cards, and institutional purchase orders, with net 30 available on approved accounts. Federal purchases under the $15,000 micro-purchase threshold can go directly on a card without vendor registration.

Why this over standard promotional drinkware?
Most promo bottles are single-wall and delaminate, so they get discarded. The Flask Vessel is double-wall vacuum-insulated 304 stainless built for daily bench use — for people who work with precise instruments, that quality is the point.
