Engraving Standards

Designed for clean marks, not decorative guesswork.

Laser engraving works best when the artwork is simplified, aligned, and scaled for the Flask Vessel’s vertical field. These standards help personal customers and corporate clients create mockups that can move cleanly into production review.

01

The engraving field is intentionally controlled.

The recommended engraving area is approximately 90 mm tall by 30 mm wide. Vertical placement is preferred because it follows the flask geometry and gives names or logos a cleaner visual relationship to the vessel.

02

Laser engraving reveals the stainless surface.

The laser removes the powder-coated finish and exposes the stainless steel beneath. Digital previews approximate the final contrast, but the real mark depends on finish color, artwork weight, and production settings.

03

Simple artwork engraves better.

Single-color vector marks produce the most reliable result. Logos with tiny text, complex gradients, shadows, or thin detail may need to be simplified before engraving.

04

Mockups are approval tools.

The studio generates a visual proof for review. It is not a final production file. Before engraving, artwork may be adjusted for alignment, scale, and line clarity.

05

Corporate orders receive production review.

For bulk, distributor, university, museum, or corporate orders, submitted mockups help begin the quote and approval process. Our team reviews the artwork before production.

Questions Before Approval

What the mockup can show, and what still requires review.

The studio is built to help customers and corporate buyers visualize engraving direction. These notes keep the proofing process realistic, especially when logos, timelines, and production files are involved.

Proofing Notes

The Mockup Studio is designed to create a visual direction for engraving approval. It is not a substitute for production file review.

Field 90 mm × 30 mm
Preferred Vector artwork
Method Laser engraving

No. The mockup is a visual approval tool. It shows the intended direction, placement, and relative scale. Final production artwork may be adjusted for line weight, contrast, alignment, and engraving quality before production.

Vector artwork is best. SVG, PDF, AI, or EPS files usually produce the cleanest engraving result. High-resolution PNG files can work, but low-resolution screenshots, compressed JPGs, gradients, and complex shadows usually require cleanup before production.

For laser engraving, the answer is usually no. Laser engraving is best treated as a single-color mark because the laser removes the powder coat and reveals the stainless surface beneath. If you need full-color artwork, request a corporate quote so we can review other decoration methods.

Vertical engraving is recommended because it follows the geometry of the Flask Vessel and fits the available field more naturally. Horizontal engraving may be possible for certain artwork, but it requires additional review because the flask shape can affect apparent scale and alignment.

Personal engraving can be used for single-unit gifting when available. Corporate logo orders, distributor requests, and more complex decoration projects may have different minimums depending on the artwork, quantity, and production method.

Yes. That is one of the main purposes of the Mockup Studio. The generated image can help teams, buyers, or clients review the direction before a quote or production proof is finalized.

Yes. Corporate, distributor, retail, university, and museum orders should go through artwork review before production. The mockup starts the conversation; the final file still needs to be checked for engraving quality.

Still unsure?

If your artwork is complex or you are preparing a corporate order, send the mockup request and our team can review the direction before production.
