Corporate holiday gifting fails the same way every year: the order is placed in November, the options have collapsed to whatever ships fast, and the result joins a pile of other logo items in the recipient's December. For science companies, there is a better way to run it — and it starts months earlier than you think.
The timeline nobody respects
Work backward from in-hands dates. Gifts should land the first two weeks of December — late enough to read as holiday, early enough to beat the flood. Name-personalized and high-volume programs need 35–45 days, which puts artwork approval in October and the decision in September. Logo-only domestic runs ship in 7–10 days, so smaller programs have more slack — but colorway inventory thins as December approaches. The companies that gift well decide before Q4 does.
Employees vs. clients: two different programs
Employees get the personal version: each vessel laser-engraved with the recipient's name alongside the company mark. A name converts a year-end obligation into recognition — see our Employee Appreciation program. For a complete presentation, the gift kit — flask, protective base, brush — unboxes as a considered gift rather than a bottle in bubble wrap.
Clients and partners get the co-branded or logo version — with one hard caveat for life-science companies: branded gifts to healthcare professionals are prohibited under the PhRMA and AdvaMed codes. Direct client gifting toward the partners, investors, vendors, and distributors who are fair game; our compliance-aware client gifting guide covers who qualifies.
Why science teams are easy to gift well (and badly)
Your people notice materials — it is the job description. A single-wall bottle that delaminates by February is remembered longer than it lasted. The Flask Vessel is the opposite bet: double-wall vacuum-insulated 304 stainless steel in the Erlenmeyer form, engraving cut into the powder coat, five matte finishes you can mix across one order so a 200-person program still feels individual.
A simple planning checklist
- September: headcount, budget, employee vs. client split; order a $25 spec sample (credited toward the order)
- October: artwork approved via a mockup, name list locked for personalized units
- November: production; confirm ship-to addresses (bulk to office vs. drop-ship to homes)
- First two weeks of December: in hands, ahead of the flood
Start now, whatever the month
Quotes are returned within one business day, and artwork stays on file so next year's program is a reorder rather than a project. Request a quote, explore the full Custom Science Corporate Gifts program, or browse holiday science gifts for individual pieces.
